Cliftonville Football Club's Academy players are making waves at this year's SuperCupNI, with a packed schedule of matches showcasing the club's brightest young talents. The Reds' Under-13s kick off their campaign against Abu Dhabi's Al Jazira today, followed by clashes with Maiden City and Ross County later this week.
Who's representing Cliftonville FC?
The club has a strong presence across multiple age groups and sections. In the Premier Section, Antrim's squad includes Padai O’Kane, Caoimhe Connelly, Peadraig Kelly, Lennon McCann and Conor Fitzsimmons, while Down's team features Cillian Murray, Eoin McCann and Matthew Belshaw. Derry's Jack Beasley is also in action. The Junior tournament sees Antrim fielding Cuan O’Bradiagh, Keagan O’Connor, Riley McCreery, Cuan Carmichael, Ryland Perry, Taylor Magee, Anton Doras, Aiden Green and Charlie McKnight, with Down represented by Josh King and Owen Gilmore, Derry by Liam McAteer and Armagh by Eoghan Fagan.
How are the girls performing?
Cliftonville's Girls Academy 2012s are also in action, taking on Surf Select today before a north Belfast derby against Crusaders tomorrow and a meeting with Peamount United on Wednesday. Five players – Anayah Lee, Autumn Edgar, Charley McMullan, Annarose Robinson and Abigal Curley – are part of the Northern Ireland Under-16 panel, facing Chicago City, Aston Villa and Shamrock Rovers this week.
What's next for Cliftonville FC?
After finishing fifth in last season's Premiership with 47 points (13W-8D-12L), the Reds will be looking to build on their recent form. Despite ending the 2025 campaign with three wins in their last five games, they lost their final two matches.
